2025 Trips

Mexico Dive Trip

Dates: February 16th - 21st, 2025

Cost: $1400

Spots available: 7 people

Flight info: we’ll be flying in and out of Cancun (airport code CUN).

Bougie level: 3/5. You’ll always have a bed.

Physical Difficulty: 6/8. Diving can be a lot of work sometimes!

Both open water and advanced open water divers are welcome on this trip!

After two trips to Honduras to get people dive certified, I’m thinking we might just have enough people in this group to start doing dive-only trips… and this is the first one! Come on down to Mexico to enjoy diving two world-renowned dive locations: Playa del Carmen and Cozumel.

When we’re based in Playa del Carmen we will be diving a handful of cenotes, which are underground chambers that were thought to be portals to the underworld by the Mayans. These cenotes will be a whole new dive experience, letting us explore unique caverns and gorgeous underwater landscapes. Also while in Playa del Carmen, those who are advanced certified open water divers will have the opportunity to dive with bull sharks. Pregnant female bull sharks frequent this area during this time of year, and if we’re lucky we will be able to spend time with them. While the advanced crew is hopeful for sharks, our open water crew will be enjoying coral reefs.

We’ll be moving on over to Cozumel via the ferry. Once we’ve settled in we’ll be diving more and more, hitting up the currents that Cozumel is well known for, catching some lazy drift dives and enjoying impressive coral and gorgeous fish. Our time above water will be spent wandering town and eating food. We’ll be visiting a Mayan ruin while on Cozumel during our final surface interval.

We’ll be fitting in 10 dives while on this trip and I am excited for every single one of them.

Galapagos

Dates: April 27th - May 6th, 2025

Cost: $2600

Spots Available: 9 people

Flight info: you’ll either be flying in and out of Guayaquil (airport code GYE) or Quito (airport code UIO)

Bougie level: 3/5. You’ll always have a bed, but travel time is long, and BUMPY.

Physical Difficulty: 6/8. Lots of walking, some hiking, lots of ocean swimming.

Visiting the Galapagos is a must-do for anyone who is in love with wildlife. I have never been so surrounded by wildlife like I have been in the Galapagos… and it is a literal dream. Here is, yet another, chance for you to go!We’re going to be calling this the “Best of The Galapagos” trip. After visiting all the islands reachable by a land based independent tour, I’m going to know exactly where to send you to have the BEST time on this trip. Expect to spend a lot of time in the water, either snorkeling or diving depending on if you’re certified or not. Expect to spend a lot of time staring at sweet precious animals, seeing many birds, tortoises, iguanas and way too many sea lions. Expect to have an amazing time as my co-pilot, Ciara Peace, guides you along this journey.

Norway

Dates: June 19th - 30th, 2025

Cost: $3800

Spots Available: 7 people

Flight info: We’ll be flying in and out of Oslo, airport code OSL

Bougie level: 3/5. Seeing as Norway is *expensive* we’ll be staying in dorm-style rooms to cut down on the cost of the trip.

Physical Difficulty: 7/8. This is a very active trip. Lots of hiking not-flat trails, a little rock climbing, some kayaking, and a sample in surfing. You should be reasonably fit for this trip.

Are you ready for an arctic exploration? Come explore Norway with me on this active adventure to fully experience life north of the arctic circle. Starting in Oslo we will all gather together for one evening in the city before fully starting our adventure. We’ll then head to the gorgeous northern Lofoten Islands, where we will embark on a road trip filled with beautiful landscapes. We’ll hike trails, take a gentle cruise through the fjords, rock climb a legendary route, and take a surf lesson (you might be the only person you know who will be able to say you learned how to surf north of the arctic circle). We’ll be doing all of this while enjoying one of my favorite things, the midnight sun. This means we will ONLY have daylight, AND SO MUCH TIME FOR ACTIVITIES! Then, if you thought we were “really north” while in Lofoten, don’t worry. We are going even MORE north… actually the MOST north we can go. After Lofoten we will be heading to Svalbard, home to polar bears, walruses, arctic foxes, ringed seals, beluga whales, reindeer, narwhals, blue whales, and many species of birds. We’ll be exploring this landscape from both land and sea, taking in as much adventure as we possibly can.

Isle Royale National Park

Dates: September 7th - September 15th, 2025

Cost: $600

Spots Available: 9 people

Flight info: If you’re from the Ohio/Michigan area, you won’t need a flight! If you’re coming in from elsewhere you’ll have to fly to Detroit, airport code DTW.

Bougie level: 1/5. We are backpacking. With tents. That means you’ll be carrying your house on your back like a wittle turtle.

Physical Difficulty: 8/8. We’re backpacking. And lake kayaking.

If you’re on a quest to visit as many national parks as possible, here is your chance to visit the least visited park in the lower 48. Isle Royale National Park is a protected island that sits in Lake Superior. Barely touched by humans, the wildlife abounds and the trails are screaming our names. Getting to Isle Royale is an adventure all in its own, we will have to travel to the tippy top of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and take a long ferry over to the island. While on our journey up into the northern bits of Michigan we’ll also be stopping by Pictured Rocks to kayak along beautiful cliffs, and do some hikes along the way. Once we reach the ferry port we’ll head out on our 5 day backpacking trip. We’ll be hiking about 30 miles on the island, setting up every night at a new campsite. At the end of our backpacking journey we will be taking the ferry back to the Upper Peninsula and celebrating in a nice cabin all together before making the journey home the next day.

**You’ll be responsible for all your own backpacking equipment and food, but I can help guide you if this is your first time backpacking. You’ll have to be able to walk long hours with your own pack on your back. We will also be coordinating carpools seeing as in the beginning of this trip it is a little bit of a road trip starting from the Detroit area.

Brazil

Dates: October 5th - 13th, 2025

Cost: $3000

Spots available: 9 people

Flight info: We will be flying into Campo Grande (airport code CGR), and flying out of Cuiaba (airport code CGB)

Bougie level: 3/5. The lodging will be as cute as I can make it within our budget. The activities we are doing bump the cost of this trip up, so staying at more budget places helps offset that.

Physical Difficulty: 5/8. The first half of this trip is active, snorkeling, rappelling and some hiking. The second half is more safari-style.

When someone hears the word “Brazil” they probably think about the Amazon and Rio de Janerio. But because you’re traveling with ME, we are going to neither of those places and heading to areas less traveled. We’ll be starting our trip out traveling to the small jungle town of Bonito. This small area is considered Brazil’s adventure capital and is surrounded by crystal clear waters, hundreds of caves and, of course, amazing wildlife. We’ll explore many waterfalls, travel to Buraco das Araras (this is a huge crater that is home to many macaws and other feathered friends), snorkel down a crystal clear river with gorgeous fish joining us, and we’ll be rappelling 236 feet into a beautiful cave system with the goal of either diving, snorkeling or floating along on a boat (it’s up to you what you’re comfortable with). After our adventurous start to our trip we’ll be hopping on a quick flight up to the Northern Pantanal: home of Jaguars. The Pantanal of Brazil is the world’s largest tropical wetland and it provides MORE opportunities to see wildlife than in the Amazon. Home to SO many animals, visiting during the drier season brings wildlife out to the water that is left behind and allows the best wildlife viewing. We are specifically traveling to the Northern section of the Pantanal because it is the best place in the world to see jaguars in their natural habitat. Although jaguars are not a guarantee, we are setting ourselves up for success by staying at Jaguar Camp within the actual wetlands. And if we don't see a jaguar?? Well it’s also the best place in the world to see capybara and that’s pretty exciting for me. We’ll be spending 3 days/2 nights out on the prowl for wildlife before heading back to Cuiaba to head home.

Utah: Big 5

Dates: November 7th - 15th, 2025

Cost: $950

Spots Available: 8 people

Flight info: We’ll be flying in and out of Las Vegas, airport code LAS

Bougie level: 4/5. Lodging will be cute and you’ll always have a bed.

Physical Difficulty: 7/8. This is a very active trip. You should be able to hike a lot of miles in varying weather and you shouldn’t have a fear of heights.

This adventure is guided by the lovely Morgan and Matt! Join them as they drive you around Utah, visiting all 5 of the National Parks in this beautiful state. You’ll scale very high heights in Zion National Park, hike amongst the gorgeous hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park, enjoy the diverse landscape of Capitol Reef and Cayonlands National Park, and hike to the most famous arch in Arches National Park. You’ll also have side quests at state parks including Valley of Fire and Snow Canyon, and you’ll be canyoning and rappelling in Goblin Valley State Park. Spend your evenings bonding in cute lodgings across the state, playing spoons and leg wrestling in my honor.

*I will be battling to get everyone permits for Angel’s Landing, so you will *most likely* be doing that very famous hike because I typically win those battles. This hike is absolutely mind blowing but will be very very very difficult if you’re afraid of heights.

Virgin Islands National Park

Dates: December 7th - 11th, 2025

Cost: $1400 (For certified divers wanting to do two mornings of dives there will be an additional $180 due, which would put you at a total of 4 dives for this trip)

Spots Available: 7 people

Flight info: We’ll be flying in and out of St. Thomas, airport code STT

Bougie level: 5/5. We’ll be cozy on this one.

Physical Difficulty: 6/8. Our days will be jam packed with activities, lots of hiking and swimming and snorkeling and diving.

Are you looking for a shorter trip that you don’t need a passport for? HELLO VIRGIN ISLANDS! Virgin Islands National Park is situated on Saint John island. Some of the most beautiful beaches are here… but if you’ve ever been with me to a beach location you’ll know we won’t just be sitting around getting sand in our cooters. Being a shorter trip, we have to jam each day full of amazing activities. We’ll be driving around the entire island hiking, snorkeling and kayaking along the way. Divers! We’ll have two mornings that we can get dives in. Non-divers!! Here is your chance to give diving a try and do a discovery dive course with two full dives. If you think you’re going to be exhausted after this one, don’t worry… you will. But I’m getting us a cute little house to live in while we’re there that’ll make up for it.

FAQs

What do these prices include?

Prices of each trip include all lodging, activities and in-country transport. Some meals are provided if we are doing special tour days in which meals are included. These will be listed in the itinerary for you so you know how to properly budget for meals. YOU will have to pay for and book your own flights to and from our starting and end point. I can help assist you if booking flights makes you nervous. You will also have to pay for anything extra that is not included in the official itinerary.

What happens if I have to drop out?

Your $500 deposit is fully refundable up until the first real payment is due. That first real payment is called your “Lock-in Payment”, and paying that tells me that you’re all set to go on the trip. That lock in payment typically marks the start of me putting in deposits for bookings, so after that point your money is no longer refundable. Please make sure you can for sure make the trip work before committing to that lock-in payment. (The only way that I can do a full reimbursement after the lock-in date is if I can find someone to take your place on that trip, which is totally possible but not guaranteed).

Do these dates include travel time?

The dates listed include what your probable travel time will be (to make it easier for you to request the days off at your work). To explain this a little better, I have searched routine flights from various common places that we all fly out of and have built in travel days into the itineraries. If you are coming from an area that is very far away, or in a totally different time zone you may need to extend (or if you’re lucky, reduce!) your travel dates based on your available flights. Once you’re given your Info Packet on the trip you have signed up for you will be given an exact date and time that you should be in the destination by along with proper airport codes to assist you in booking the correct flight. I have provided the airport info in the description of each trip so you can do a little research into flight prices before committing to the trip.

How do I grab a spot?

2025 Trips are announced August 1st, 2024. Squirrel Fund raffle will be drawn on August 15th. I start taking deposits for trips starting on August 17th at noon. Send your deposits over either Cash App ($BrittneyTravels) or Venmo (@Brittney-Exarhos).

Once happens once I get a spot on a trip?

Once you secure a spot on a trip you’ll be placed into a group chat with the others that are on the trip with you. Not too long after joining in that trip you’ll get an info packet that includes what flights you should be looking at, a packing list, tips on packing and insurance, medical info for that trip, my own personal packing list for that specific trip, and specific cultural things and tips for travel. Closer to the trip you’ll receive the full very detailed itinerary..

And get ready to backpack Patagonia in 2026

 Even MORE FAQs

  • Included in the price of each trip is all of your lodging, activities, in-country transport, and any visa fees.

Airfare, personal meals, souvenirs and anything done outside of the provided itinerary is NOT included in the price of the trip.

  • Since flights are no longer included in the cost of the trips, I will be guiding you on which flights to book. I will provide everyone with correct airport codes, dates and times that they should be booking their flights for each trip. I can even still book the flights for you, it will just have to be paid for separately.

  • I work on my itineraries all year and announce the OFFICIAL details on August 1st (so the 2024 details will be announced August 1st 2023). Once the details are posted, I start taking deposits on August 10th starting at noon. These trips fill up FAST, and we have lovingly come to call the deposit day as “The Hunger Games”… if the trip is full you’ll get your deposit back within the day and will be put on a waiting list (which usually 1-3 people on each waiting list ends up on the trip in the long run).

  • Before deciding to join a Brittney Trip, you will be completely aware of the payment plan for the entire trip. To claim a spot there is a deposit that is fully refundable UP UNTIL THE FIRST BIG PAYMENT (this deposit is put towards the final cost of your trip so it is not an additional payment). There is typically a few months between putting the deposit down and when the first actual payment is due, once that first actual payment is paid you are locked into the trip and money can no longer be refunded (your money at this point will be tied up in bookings). I form a group chat for each trip so we can all get to know each other and discuss trip details, and once everything is booked you’ll get a fully detailed day-to-day itinerary that will basically paint you a picture of exactly what to expect. Closer to the trip, you’ll get a packing list, with packing tips and we have a Zoom meeting where we can all see each other and chat about how excited we are.

  • A huge part of traveling with me is making new, life-long friends. If you’re a friendly and easy going person that is looking to travel and make new friends, I guarantee you this is for you.

  • These trips are budget trips, and that typically means that I would rather spend our budget on experiences and activities rather than a 5 star resort. That being said, some trips are fancier than others. ENTER: The Bougie Scale.

This is a scale of 1-5… with 1 usually representing a lot of camping and 5 representing a very large mansion. A rating of 3 guarantees that you’ll have a regular ol’ bed every night (boring, I know). But as always, I can promise it’ll be memorable.

  • This is a scale of 1 - 8. If you haven’t picked up on it, I like being outside. I like being physical. I love hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, rafting etc. Am I a professional at any of these things?? Absolutely not. And these trips are a great entry-point for people who want to experience these things, but have zero background in them. But some trips will require some training beforehand, just to make it the most comfortable for you. Every trip will have a clear communication of why it is rated with a certain difficulty level, and I encourage you to challenge yourself to experience something new and unique.
